At CorAsist, they envisioned Rosario becoming the most cardio-assisted city in the country. Their first step was the development of a smart cabinet for Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs).
Unlike traditional cabinets, this one featured a contactless card reader, allowing only authorized personnel to disable the visual and audible alarm triggered upon opening. It also had its own battery to continue operating during power outages.
The first prototype was installed at Rosario International Airport "Islas Malvinas" and was very well received.
Future plans included integrating technologies like geo-location, so that any citizen could instantly find the nearest AED during an emergency.
